Triage Nurse, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt access to high-quality, compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage care for patients and caregivers associated with hospice and home health partners.

• Exhibit empathy and understanding when interacting with callers, especially during challenging circumstances.

• Evaluate patient requirements and provide suitable care instructions.

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.

• Record patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Complete a brief skills assessment if chosen for the position.

• Participate in a comprehensive four-week training program.

• Commit to working two weekend days along with two to three weekdays, following the designated schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid RN license in a compact state.

• Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience is required.

• Experience in home health, palliative care, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, and/or hospice care is preferred but not mandatory.

• Fluency in English is essential.

• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.

• Competence with computers and telecommunications equipment is necessary.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test as part of pre-employment screening.

• Must fulfill California RN Required Prerequisites for RN Examination and Endorsements.

• At least 400 work hours in the past two years are required.

• Reliable internet connection is essential; satellite broadband and mobile hotspots are not acceptable.

• Access to a webcam is required.

• Operating system must be Windows 11 or Mac OS 15 (Sequoia) or newer.

• CPU requirement: 2.5 GHz.

• RAM requirement: 6GB.
