Traveling Fiber Splicer – Nationwide Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Execute fusion splicing on outside plant (OSP) fiber optic networks

• Perform both ribbon fiber and loose tube splicing

• Carry out fiber testing and troubleshooting utilizing OTDR, power meters, and light source equipment

• Interpret splice diagrams, cut sheets, and construction documentation

• Operate in both aerial and underground fiber environments

• Uphold quality, productivity, and safety standards

• Record test results and document project completion information

• Assist with significant OSP fiber deployment projects across the United States

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in OSP Fiber Splicing

• Proficiency in fusion splicing beyond basic drop installations

• Familiarity with ribbon and loose tube fiber

• Experience in OTDR testing and troubleshooting

• Background in working within aerial and underground fiber environments

• Capability to read splice diagrams and cut sheets

• Openness to travel on a 3-4 week rotation

• Strong reliability and attendance
