This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee daily construction, administrative, and technical management of renewable energy projects aimed at delivering energy savings to public, institutional, government, and commercial clients.
• Support the Senior Project Manager in project accounting, budgeting, scheduling, tracking, reporting, quality control, and internal communications.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies, revenue recognition standards, and project setup guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between the business office and operational teams.
• Manage customer service, relationships, and contractual responsibilities with Ameresco clients.
• Assist in project design and development, covering scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation, and scheduling.
• Track project performance and cost estimates until project completion.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to help define scope, schedule, and timely delivery.
• Oversee vendors and subcontractors to guarantee quality control and timely, budget-compliant delivery.
• Directly supervise assigned construction managers and site supervisors.
• Maintain and update project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and track outstanding tasks.
• Provide detailed two-week look-ahead schedules for customer coordination and planning.
• Assist with project expenditures and job cost accounting, including documentation, approvals, payment reporting, forecasting, and tracking.
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, customer, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and regulations.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of experience in construction project management.
• Capability to review confidential US security information.
• Completion or progress towards engineering, technical, or industry-related education is preferred.
• Work experience in energy efficiency disciplines is preferred, including direct digital energy control systems, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, and warranty and service requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and cultivate positive business relationships.
• Strong verbal, written, technical communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and Project.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license in good standing, issued by the state of residence.
