Traveling Construction Materials Laboratory Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Receive and document concrete and soil samples, along with any additional testing as required.

• Execute and comprehend various laboratory testing procedures.

• Oversee the Braun Quality system for the laboratory.

• Enter and maintain laboratory test data using the LIMS lab management software.

• Ensure laboratory equipment is kept in optimal operating condition.

• Conduct other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned.

• Work on data centers, commercial warehouses, and other remote projects.

• Carry out routine laboratory testing and data entry to ensure compliance with construction plans, contract documents, and project specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced Construction Materials Laboratory Technician.

• Ability to work independently.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work at remote project sites across the US.

• Readiness to work long hours, overtime, and weekends as necessary.

• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.

• Competence in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Ability to execute written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Capability to learn laboratory management systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

• Ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 75+ pounds.

• Proficiency in performing proctors, Atterberg Limits, #200 Wash, and breaking concrete cylinders.

• ACI Strength Testing Technician certification is preferred.

• MoDOT or KDOT HMA, MoDOT, TxDOT, or KDOT Soils certifications are preferred.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
