This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct property inspections at customers' residences.
• Assess coverage and evaluate property damage.
• Create estimates and resolve claims in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage virtual claims nationwide using tools like Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
• Specialize in water-loss claims.
• Deliver empathetic, straightforward, and customer-centered claims service.
• Independently evaluate property claims and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.
• Interact with customers via phone, email, and video conferencing.
• Tailor communication according to customer preferences and provide updates on claim progress.
• Assess and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
• Manage complex negotiations in alignment with legal and business standards.
• Utilize estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
• Accurately and promptly document claim activities in the claims system.
• Work Monday through Friday during training, then shift to a 10 days on/4 days off schedule for 8–12 hours daily.
• Travel out of town up to 90% of the time.
• Participate in a mandatory two-week training program in Dallas, Texas.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing water damage estimates is preferred.
• Previous experience as a property adjuster is preferred.
• Familiarity with estimating software like Xactimate is preferred.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently from home and travel to various locations.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive outlook on challenges.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness and capability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story buildings.
• A valid driver's license and readiness to travel.
• Must live within 50 miles of an airport.
• Required to terminate existing insurance appointments and refrain from holding outside appointments during employment if currently possessing an active insurance license.
• Resident producer license holders pursuing an adjuster role must surrender that license when directed.
• May need to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hiring.
• Must undergo a background investigation.
• Reliable internet connection with at least 50 MB download and 5 MB upload speeds.
• A dedicated, private workspace at home with suitable desk and seating arrangements.
• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas.
• Up to $175 per day for hours exceeding 8.
• $200 for work performed on weekends and/or holidays.
