This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee benefits, wellness, retirement, and payroll support programs within the United States.
• Conduct employment verifications through both phone and written communication.
• Ensure accurate enrollments in benefits programs and carry out data quality assessments in the HRIS.
• Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits claims, plan modifications, enrollments, status changes, and general questions.
• Administer leave processes from beginning to end, including FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated leaves.
• Implement applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding leave and accommodations.
• Distribute necessary leave notifications and documentation within mandated timelines.
• Facilitate the ADA interactive process alongside HR Business Partners and managers.
• Monitor leave usage, track return-to-work dates, coordinate benefits continuation, and manage payroll interactions.
• Maintain confidential records related to leave and stay updated on changes in leave legislation.
• Address inquiries regarding retirement plans and oversee annual catch-up contribution enrollments.
• Assist with the annual open enrollment process, encompassing system configuration, testing, communication, enrollment assistance, and audits.
• Process life events and manage post-employment COBRA continuation coverage.
• Collaborate with payroll partners throughout payroll cycles.
• Reconcile benefit deductions, employer contributions, invoices, vendor files, and carrier documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and resolve escalated concerns.
• An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in payroll processing and benefits support.
• Practical experience with payroll/HRIS software, with ExponentHR being highly preferred.
• Outstanding customer service capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competence in making timely, sound, and accurate decisions.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Strong time management skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
• Preferred experience in benefits administration, covering open enrollment, life events, and COBRA.
• Strongly preferred experience in leave of absence administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state-mandated leave programs.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local leave and accommodation regulations.
• Preferred experience in multi-state payroll, including final pay laws.
• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
