Transition Manager – TX DIR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assume comprehensive responsibility for the entire contract transition from the current provider to Peraton.

• Formulate, oversee, and execute the Transition Project Plan while securing DIR acceptance.

• Spearhead the delivery of the Operational Readiness Assessment and gain DIR approval.

• Synchronize transition activities across all service towers.

• Direct CMDB baselining, auto-discovery, and inventory validation processes.

• Design and implement parallel-run planning to ensure SLA compliance starting from Month 1.

• Collaborate with the Managed Services Integrator (MSI) to address transition integration needs.

• Oversee all transition deliverables until formal acceptance by DIR is achieved.

• Develop and uphold transition schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.

• Coordinate transition efforts across compute, storage, network, facilities, and other relevant service areas.

• Ensure that transition activities contribute to operational readiness and the successful initiation of Services.

• Retain accountability for transition deliverables until completion and formal customer acceptance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience; supervisory or lead experience may be included.

• At least 8 years of experience managing large-scale IT contract transitions from existing service providers.

• Proven experience in transitioning data center managed services environments, encompassing compute, storage, network, and facilities.

• Experience in delivering formal transition deliverables to government clients with specified acceptance criteria.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, asset discovery tools, and configuration management methodologies.

• Experience in coordinating transitions within MSI/multi-vendor government IT contexts.

• Strong skills in program management and risk mitigation in intricate transition scenarios.

• Capable of managing complex transition schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, government, and vendor organizations.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Candidates must reside in the Austin, TX metropolitan area, or San Angelo, TX, as applicable, and be willing to relocate to the Austin, TX metropolitan area.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• ITIL Foundation Certification is preferred.

• Previous experience with Texas DIR or similar state government IT contract transitions is strongly preferred.
