This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee job analysis by utilizing position questionnaires, conducting interviews with employees and supervisors, and updating job descriptions for a multitude of roles.
• Implement point-factor or comparable job evaluation techniques.
• Develop or enhance classification frameworks and job families.
• Compare transit-specific roles against those in peer transit organizations.
• Assist with employee communications, appeals, and planning for implementation.
• Deliver presentations of findings to executive leadership and governing boards.
• Contribute qualifications and narrative of past performance to AlphaGov proposals when authorized.
• A minimum of seven years in classification and compensation, particularly within large public-sector or transit organizations.
• Direct experience in point-factor job evaluation and crafting job descriptions for extensive position inventories.
• Proven track record in benchmarking jobs and developing classification systems and pay scales.
• Excellent written and presentation abilities tailored for executives and board members.
• Ability to work as a 1099/project-based collaborator, including necessary travel.
• Prior HR, classification, or compensation experience within a transit authority (preferred).
• Familiarity with both represented and non-represented transit workforces (preferred).
• Possession of CCP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification (preferred).
• Experience with public employers in Texas (preferred).
• Remote-first work arrangements.
• Occasional travel to client locations.
• Opportunities for project-based collaboration.
• Inclusion as an expert collaborator or key personnel on relevant proposals, based on permission.
