This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, test, train, maintain, and provide support for clinical systems utilized in medication management and pharmacy automation.
• Oversee intricate, high-impact, cross-departmental clinical application and pharmacy automation projects.
• Lead the development, implementation, integration, optimization, maintenance, and support of clinical applications.
• Establish and advocate for standards in technical processes, building, testing, validation, and documentation.
• Assess workflows and system performance for efficiency.
• Recognize risks, dependencies, technical shortcomings, and opportunities for enhancements that impact medication safety, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and organizational priorities.
• Coordinate technical efforts across supported domains and ensure visibility into workload and project preparedness.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentor analysts, and assist with onboarding and cross-training initiatives.
• Prepare strategic recommendations for Pharmacy Informatics leadership.
• Act as a liaison among Pharmacy Informatics, pharmacy operations, information technology teams, vendors, and various stakeholders.
• Provide expertise in medication and related systems for large-scale enterprise clinical system projects.
• Encourage teamwork and collaboration to achieve the objectives of the Department of Pharmacy and OSUWMC enterprise.
• Develop and promote team standards while fostering a positive team culture.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is necessary.
• An advanced degree in a pertinent field may be advantageous.
• Preference for candidates with 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Final candidates must successfully pass a background check.
• A drug screening or physical examination might be required during the post-offer phase.
• Familiarity with information systems terminology, processing, and desktop solutions is essential.
• Proficiency in pharmacy operations, clinical practice, systems integration, and automation is required.
• Knowledge of OSUWMC pharmacy operations, policies, and procedures is important.
• Capability to develop, maintain, and support clinical application systems and medication-management automation is necessary.
• Regular full-time employment status.
• 40 scheduled hours per week.
• First shift hours.
