This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct independent evaluations and formulate pay recommendations for merit increases, market adjustments, new hires, transfers, promotions, retention actions, and various compensation events.
• Implement compensation philosophies, salary structures, market data, internal equity, performance metrics, experience levels, geographic considerations, and business context to derive recommendations and alternatives.
• Recognize and mitigate issues related to inequity, compression, compliance, employee relations, and retention risks.
• Provide guidance to Human Resources partners and business leaders regarding complex or sensitive pay decisions.
• Engage in salary surveys and assess survey methodologies, job matches, peer groups, and data quality.
• Design, evaluate, and oversee the governance of incentive compensation plans.
• Analyze the effectiveness of incentive plans and create design alternatives, modeling, terms, eligibility criteria, performance measures, and payout mechanisms.
• Develop and manage retention and severance programs.
• Supervise plan and program operations and suggest corrective or forward-looking changes.
• Create compensation communications, training resources, tools, and guidance.
• Support initiatives for pay transparency along with related disclosures and practices.
• Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and company policies related to compensation.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory, litigation, and market trends and recommend necessary changes.
• Maintain documentation of decisions, program records, approval evidence, and audit-readiness controls.
• Enhance compensation processes, analytics, governance, and stakeholder experiences.
• Develop and sustain analytical tools, models, controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HR technology teams, and business leaders to resolve intricate matters and implement solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5-7 years or more of progressively responsible experience in compensation, including complex analysis, program design, and consultation with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in broad-based compensation, market pricing, pay equity and compression analysis, salary structures, incentive compensation, and compensation governance.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information, devise alternatives, and make well-supported recommendations.
• Capacity to exercise discretion and independent judgment within company philosophies, policies, governance, and approval processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling, compensation survey and market-pricing platforms, and human resources information systems.
• Experience with data visualization or analytical tools is preferred.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or comparable expertise is preferred.
