Transfer Registered Nurse, RN – FT Nights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide timely and high-quality assistance with the triaging and coordination of transfers from various facilities.

• Monitor and address triage requirements efficiently.

• Complete the direct referral acceptance procedure.

• Utilize technology to assess patients’ clinical needs.

• Ensure quick communication regarding acceptance or deflection.

• Work in close collaboration with referral sources, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders.

• Report to and maintain accountability to the Director of Assessment and Referral for Voyages.

• Offer support for both day and overnight coverage in a 24/7 department.

⛳️ Requirements

• RN licensure is required in the state of Texas or a compact license.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and effectively communicating in English is essential.

• Crisis Management Certification in accordance with hospital policies and standards is required.

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Previous experience in behavioral health and the substance use field is preferred.

• Experience with case management, hospitals, and admissions is advantageous.

• Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.

• Flexibility in working hours may be required.

• Shifts will vary to accommodate a 24/7 department, including day and overnight coverage with varying shift times across different U.S. time zones.
