Transaction Advisory Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive Quality of Earnings assessments, evaluating the quality of earnings, sustainability of EBITDA, asset quality, working capital profile, and other financial indicators.

• Take the lead on engagements independently, pinpoint high-risk areas, and oversee deal relationships.

• Assist clients throughout all phases of transactions, including LOI analysis, structuring, financial modeling, due diligence, and integration.

• Develop and oversee intricate financial models for forecasting and decision-making, including three-statement models and leveraged buyouts (LBOs).

• Manage data rooms and collaborate with advisors to compile essential deal information.

• Draft comprehensive stakeholder reports that encompass financial forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management summaries.

• Conduct market research to furnish insights for deal teams and benchmark valuations.

• Engage in additional projects as required by business demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in transaction advisory and financial due diligence at a Big Four or large national firm; strong backgrounds in audit, investment banking, or consulting will also be considered.

• Solid understanding of ASPE and IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous for cross-border transactions.

• CPA designation or completion of the CFE exam.

• Proficient financial modeling capabilities, including three-statement models, LBO models, and comparable company analysis.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and maintain responsiveness when deals progress rapidly.

• Capacity to handle multiple engagements concurrently.

• Familiarity with the M&A process from Letter of Intent (LOI) to closure.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting with clients and senior management.

• Demonstrated multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
