Traffic Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collect international documentation and arrange for domestic delivery to the specified destination.

• Prepare traffic files and provide instructions for delivery orders.

• Ensure that the Bill of Lading is submitted when necessary.

• Collaborate with the Client Import Analyst and external stakeholders to address missing documents, required information, and customer requests essential for customs release.

• Confirm that customs and steamship releases are successfully obtained.

• Verify additional charges before processing invoice payments.

• Maintain effective working relationships with clients, teams, coworkers, transport companies, and warehouses.

• Track and trace shipments to prevent storage or demurrage liabilities, ensuring the confirmation of delivery completion.

• Process emails related to live shipments and import files within systems for clearance purposes.

• Complete delivery orders and organize pickups as needed.

• Process freight/terminal payments via guarantee, check, or wire transfer when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of credit policies, traffic, and forwarding methods and procedures.

• Capability to coordinate preferred delivery arrangements for clients with transportation companies.

• Knowledge of the customs release process.

• Proficient in computer and Internet usage.

• Experience with MS Office applications.

• Familiarity with international transportation practices.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Client service-oriented approach.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Good telephone etiquette.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective prioritization and time management skills.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent qualification.

• Must be eligible to work in the USA (position is REMOTE - USA).
