This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collect international documentation and organize domestic delivery to the specified destination.
• Prepare traffic files along with detailed instructions for delivery orders.
• Ensure that Bills of Lading are submitted as necessary.
• Collaborate with Client Import Analysts and external parties to address missing documents, required information, and customer requests essential for securing customs release.
• Confirm that customs and steamship releases have been successfully obtained.
• Validate supplementary charges prior to processing invoice payments.
• Foster productive relationships with clients, teams, colleagues, transport companies, and warehouses.
• Monitor and trace shipments to prevent storage and demurrage liabilities, and confirm the completion of deliveries.
• Process emails related to active shipments and input import files into systems for clearance.
• Finalize delivery orders and coordinate pickups.
• Complete freight and terminal payments via guarantee, check, or wire transfer as needed.
• Report directly to the Manager of Service Delivery (US) or the Traffic Manager/Traffic Supervisor (Canada).
• High School diploma/GED or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Familiarity with credit policies, traffic, and forwarding methods and procedures is essential.
• Ability to coordinate preferred delivery arrangements for clients with transportation companies.
• Understanding of the customs release process is necessary.
• Proficient in computer and Internet skills.
• Experience with MS Office is required.
• Knowledge of international transportation practices is beneficial.
• Strong negotiation skills are a must.
• A client service-oriented mindset is essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
