This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Reconcile customer invoicing with reporting from 3PL inventory.
• Process and allocate customer deduction expenditures to the appropriate GL accounts.
• Accurately and promptly apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts and reconcile them.
• Validate material offsets and deductions charged against invoices, including trade plan spending through trade planning software.
• Engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, customers, and brokers.
• Analyze trade deductions, claims, and promotions to uncover trends and root causes.
• Provide insights aimed at enhancing trade spending efficiency and minimizing outstanding receivables.
• Prepare and sustain weekly AR aging reports, summaries of customer payment performance, and KPI dashboards.
• Document trade agreements, payment terms, and credit policies; report on instances of non-compliance.
• Investigate and resolve disputes regarding pricing, promotions, and deductions.
• Collaborate with sales, commercial finance, and customer service teams to address issues.
• Identify and implement improvements in AR management and trade analysis processes.
• Aid in automating AR and trade finance workflows through uploads, scanners, and Power BI reports; partner with IT on customer-specific tools.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and trade finance policies.
• Dispute and collect incorrect material offsets and deductions.
• Collect outstanding receivables to meet days sales outstanding targets.
• Administer credit procedures for both new and existing customers.
• Assist with the monthly financial statement close, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Contribute to annual audit documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a highly organized mindset.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP and Trade Management systems.
• Self-motivated and accountable individual.
• Ability to excel in a rapidly growing organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information and summarize key concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
• Experience in the CPG industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and BluePlanner is preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Capability to address questions regarding Trade Analyst experience in the CPG industry, proficiency in BluePlanner, and Excel skills.
