Tower Technician, Top Hand

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with AT&T technology and structural initiatives, encompassing new constructions, site alterations, and rooftop installations.

• Operate at heights ranging from 90’ to over 500’, ensuring adherence to weatherproofing, grounding, and rigging practices.

• Install, repair, alter, optimize, and execute acceptance testing on wireless infrastructure and electrical systems.

• Handle installation of various types of connectors.

• Provide training to fellow Tower Technicians.

• Occasionally assume the role of Interim Foreman.

• Conduct maintenance and upgrades on equipment not in use during the off-season.

• Perform routine performance evaluations and maintenance tasks.

• Collaborate with a crew and respond promptly to service requests.

• Lead by example as Team Lead, upholding punctuality and a strong work ethic.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in construction, both civil and RF.

• Knowledge of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, and deliverable management.

• Experience with AT&T Network projects, T-Mobile CX, Verizon CX, Dish Network CX, as well as troubleshooting, maintenance, and new site constructions.

• Certification in Climbing Safety & Rescue.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (CD’s) and plumbing diagrams (RFDS).

• Familiarity with basic hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions using various testing equipment.

• Capability to operate at the top of the tower with limited supervision.

• Working knowledge of cell site service monitors, RF testing equipment, fiber, and PIM equipment.

• Compliance with OSHA standards.

• Adherence to FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.

• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record if operating a company vehicle.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Willingness to travel for several days with per diem based on the project.

• Capability to visually and audibly inspect and troubleshoot equipment and alarms.

• Ability to climb structures or operate lifts for extended periods.

• Capacity to lift heavy objects and reach overhead.

• Willingness to work at heights between 90’ and 500’.
