This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Operate at heights ranging from 90 to over 500 feet.
• Ensure effective weatherproofing, grounding, and rigging practices.
• Install, repair, modify, optimize, and conduct acceptance testing for wireless infrastructure and electrical systems.
• Install various types of connectors.
• Provide training to other Tower Technicians.
• Occasionally assume the role of Interim Foreman.
• Carry out maintenance or upgrades on equipment that is out of season.
• Perform regular maintenance and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with a team and respond promptly to service requests.
• Act as the Team Lead, setting the operational pace for the crew.
• Assist with AT&T Technology and structural projects, including new constructions, site modifications, and rooftop installations.
• Skilled Top Hand with expertise in construction and project management.
• Familiarity with color coding, fiber optics, and sweeping procedures.
• Demonstrated construction skills (both civil and RF).
• Comprehensive understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and deliverables management.
• Experience with AT&T Network projects, T-Mobile CX, Verizon CX, Dish Network CX, along with troubleshooting, maintenance, and new site constructions.
• Certification in Climbing Safety & Rescue.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents (CDs) and plumbing diagrams (RFDS).
• Knowledge of basic hardware, software, and air interface issues.
• Proficient in using various testing equipment across multiple products and technologies.
• Capable of managing all operations at the top of the tower with minimal oversight.
• Working knowledge of cell site service monitors, RF test instruments, fiber optics, and PIM equipment.
• Must adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Compliance with FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record if operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Willingness to travel for several days with per diem based on project requirements.
• Competence in inspecting and troubleshooting equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
• Ability to climb structures or operate lifts for extended durations.
• Capacity to lift heavy items and reach overhead.
