Tower Technician, Top Hand

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist with AT&T technology and structural projects, which encompass new constructions, site modifications, and rooftop installations.

• Operate at heights ranging from 90’ to over 500’ while employing effective weatherproofing, grounding, and rigging techniques.

• Engage in the installation, repair, modification, optimization, and acceptance testing of wireless infrastructure and electrical systems.

• Install various types of connectors.

• Provide training to fellow Tower Technicians.

• Occasionally act as Interim Foreman.

• Conduct maintenance or upgrades on equipment that is out of season.

• Execute performance evaluations and routine maintenance.

• Collaborate with a team and promptly respond to service requests.

• Function as Team Lead by setting the work pace and upholding high standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient Top Hand with expertise in construction and project management.

• Familiarity with color coding, fiber, and sweeping techniques.

• Established construction skills in civil and RF domains.

• Comprehensive understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, and deliverable management.

• Experience with AT&T Network projects, T-Mobile CX, Verizon CX, Dish Network CX, troubleshooting, maintenance, and new site constructions.

• Possession of Climbing Safety & Rescue Certification (renewal assistance may be available).

• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings (CD’s) and Plumbing diagrams (RFDS).

• Knowledge of basic hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions using various testing equipment across diverse products and technologies.

• Competence in managing all aspects at the top of the tower with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with cell site service monitors, RF test equipment, Fiber, and PIM equipment.

• Ability to adhere to OSHA Standards.

• Compliance with FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA Regulations.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for those operating a company vehicle.

• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Willingness to travel for extended periods with per diem based on the project.

• Proficiency in inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms both visually and audibly.

• Ability to climb structures or operate lifts for extended durations.

• Capacity to lift heavy objects and reach overhead.
