This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of Pave, overseeing benchmark configuration, compensation cycle setup, and ensuring data integrity between BambooHR and Pave.
• Manage the Total Rewards Assessment and develop a strategic Roadmap.
• Conduct audits of compensation and benefits philosophies, market positioning, and tools.
• Regularly update and refresh salary bands using a consistent benchmarking approach.
• Review and address flagged salary-band anomalies by job family.
• Collaborate on job leveling and facilitate a standardized leveling process.
• Lead the design and execution of the bi-annual merit, promotion, and bonus cycle within Pave.
• Work closely with Finance on budget management and approval workflows for the compensation cycle.
• Keep an up-to-date equity database in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
• Oversee the entire equity program, including market benchmarking, equity analytics, and the refresh and promotion of equity cycles.
• Evaluate geographic pay ranges as the workforce becomes increasingly distributed.
• Develop the benefits strategy, including annual renewal plans, design modifications, and the assessment of new offerings.
• Partner with the benefits broker for optimized outcomes.
• Construct the Total Rewards function and establish its infrastructure while balancing strategic objectives with hands-on execution.
• 5-8+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or a closely related HR field.
• Direct experience with equity administration in a venture-backed or newly-public organization.
• Ideally, have experience or time spent in people operations.
• Practical experience with compensation benchmarking/planning platforms such as Pave, Radford, or similar tools.
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end merit and compensation cycles.
• Direct involvement in managing equity programs, including grant sizing methodologies, equity analysis, and refresh/retention programs.
• Familiarity with Carta or equivalent cap table tools.
• Experience in preparing materials for board and compensation committee presentations.
• Background in benefits strategy, including renewals, broker management, and plan design decisions.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
• Capability to build and substantiate a compensation model from foundational principles.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to convey technical compensation and equity concepts clearly to managers and employees.
• Experience in establishing a Total Rewards function from the ground up at a company of similar size (~100-250 employees) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with job architecture and leveling framework design is a plus.
• Experience in insurance, fintech, or regulated industries is a bonus.
• Must reside in the contiguous 48 states of the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship requirements will be addressed in the application.
