This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Promote, sell, and demonstrate RIDGID® and Greenlee® professional tools and equipment.
• Support and advocate for the product range with end users across electrical, mechanical, utility, plumbing, industrial, and construction sectors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with tradespeople, supervisors, safety leaders, purchasing agents, project teams, and business owners.
• Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and educational presentations for customers, apprenticeship programs, and industry professionals.
• Create and implement strategies to enhance product specification, adoption, and standardization in assigned territories and key customer accounts.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Territory Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Professional Tool Specialist Leads, and distribution partners.
• Record demonstrations, training activities, opportunities, presentations, and expenses using reporting and CRM systems.
• Identify customer challenges and propose solutions that align with their needs.
• Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback with the wider sales team.
• Report to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Experience with tool applications and a strong mechanical aptitude related to electrical, utility, plumbing, or similar tools.
• Preference for experience or knowledge of electrical systems and associated tools.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill large amounts of information into clear and concise messages.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven history of meeting goals and sales targets.
• Effective time and territory management abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Must be located in the Baltimore, Maryland or Northern Virginia region.
• Capability to safely lift, carry, and handle industrial tools and product inventory for demonstrations and trade shows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
• Experience with CRM applications is an advantage.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or other pipe trades is preferred.
• Experience with industrial, plumbing, and electrical distribution channels is preferred.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
