This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Evaluate title orders in accordance with company protocols to assess the condition and insurability of titles.

• Analyze various documents including deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, and probates to ascertain their effects on title.

• Conduct research and review public records and legal documents to confirm ownership, legal descriptions, and title-related matters.

• Identify title defects or inconsistencies and devise solutions to address them, ensuring a clear title.

• Clarify the chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients.

• Offer comprehensive guidance on title issues as necessary.

• Comply with production goals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Maintain high-quality production standards and complete tasks punctually.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Engage in special projects as needed.

• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and best practices.

• Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality legal work products for represented financial institutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in title examination.

• Direct experience in title examination processes.

• In-depth knowledge of real estate law.

• Familiarity with title examination procedures.

• Ability to interpret complex legal documents effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficient organizational skills.

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Ability to maintain focus for long durations.

• Proficiency in working on computers for a significant part of the day.

• Skill in performing repetitive tasks such as typing, clicking, and swiveling.

• Ability to lift 10–20 pounds as necessary.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Capacity to complete the I-9 form and provide documentation of identity and work eligibility.
