Threat Research Analyst

📋 Description

• Oversee current threats and probe into suspicious activities utilizing logs, dashboards, and detection systems.

• Examine attack patterns and construct comprehensive threat scenarios based on gathered data.

• Investigate and respond to reported threats, customer escalations, and security incidents.

• Enhance detection and prevention mechanisms against automated attacks and harmful behaviors.

• Assess intelligence from competitors, public resources, and industry trends to pinpoint emerging threats.

• Utilize monitoring and analytics tools such as Kibana and Elasticsearch.

• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to bolster product protection capabilities.

• Document observations, attack methodologies, and investigation outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, threat research, or related fields.

• Solid hands-on experience with SQL.

• Practical familiarity with Kibana and a foundational understanding of Elasticsearch.

• Experience in prompt engineering and technologies related to chatbots.

• Strong comprehension of how modern web applications function end-to-end.

• Good grasp of attacker behavior, threat detection, and alerting systems.

• Knowledge of browser APIs, security policies, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

• Understanding of front-end concepts, including DOM, events, XHR, and WebSockets.

• Proficient in HTML and CSS.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.

• Fundamental understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.

• Capability to troubleshoot system and network-related issues.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

• Skills in Python scripting.

• Experience in developing crawlers or scrapers.

• Knowledge of deobfuscation and reverse engineering.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Imply or Datadog.

• Previous work experience in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, or threat intelligence sectors.
