Transportation Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform research and analysis for ACEEE’s transportation program.

• Collaborate directly with local and state governments on projects aimed at transforming the transportation sector.

• Contribute to research, analysis, and outreach efforts related to transportation electrification, freight and passenger vehicles, land use and transportation policy, fuel efficiency standards, and multimodal transportation infrastructure.

• Promote strategies that enhance transportation energy efficiency and equity.

• Assist in the development and delivery of technical support to external stakeholders.

• Oversee project tasks and communicate effectively with team members.

• Partner with ACEEE teams and external collaborators on multi-sector initiatives.

• Engage in committee and working group meetings.

• Create blog posts and develop presentations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in transportation sustainability, multimodal transportation, and/or transportation electrification.

• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Capability to engage in and contribute to cross-disciplinary research and teamwork.

• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.

• Proficient in managing multiple deadlines and contributing to complex, multi-partner projects.

• Exceptional writing and oral presentation skills.

• Strong analytical skills along with meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data as well as spreadsheets.

• Self-motivated, showing initiative, and capable of working independently.

• A passion for clean energy, environmental issues, and social justice.

• Ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate complex or substantial amounts of data and information.

• Professionalism and composure, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

• Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including high-level stakeholders.

• A degree in transportation planning, public policy, engineering, economics, environmental studies, or a related field.

• A Bachelor’s degree along with two years of experience, or a Master’s degree with one or more years of experience.

• Applicants must reside in the United States if working remotely.
