Threat Emulation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members to execute cyber attack operations

• Investigate and implement emerging AI technologies to enhance team capabilities

• Develop AI-driven adversary techniques and assess defensive controls against evolving threats

• Define, plan, and document new operations along with the desired outcomes

• Create and manage infrastructure, services, and applications for attack operations

• Research technologies and architectures to pinpoint weaknesses within realistic attack chains

• Articulate research and operational attack items clearly, both in writing and verbally

• Analyze security trends, emerging threats, risks, and vulnerabilities in the financial services sector

• Contribute to improvements in the detection and response mission

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in cyber security

• Strong analytical, tactical, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication skills across various levels

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team

• Persistent curiosity with a passion for finding solutions

• Understanding of basic cloud concepts, particularly AWS, and how attackers may exploit the cloud

• Familiarity with basic networking protocols and their application in Red Team Operations

• Experience with Python, C#, Ruby, or NodeJS

• Proficiency in rapidly prototyping solutions and developing reusable tools

• Knowledge of Windows internals, specifically Authentication processes
