Site & Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Ensure the safe, efficient, and timely installation and commissioning of AutoStore systems at customer locations.

• Serve as the on-site representative of Kardex during installation and commissioning phases.

• Prepare, organize, and oversee multiple installation sites.

• Coordinate material deliveries, monitor supplies, and uphold a clean and safe working environment.

• Lead daily progress updates and engage in meetings with customers and suppliers.

• Manage subcontractors while ensuring compliance with Kardex and customer standards.

• Configure AutoStore components, controllers, and IT/hardware systems.

• Monitor initial container storage and the system ramp-up process.

• Conduct component tests, system tests, performance evaluations, and acceptance procedures.

• Support go-live initiatives and facilitate customer handovers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions in collaboration with service teams.

• Train customer operators and service staff.

• Provide on-site assistance during installation, commissioning, and initial operations.

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication.

• Assist in specification phases and realization strategies.

• Contribute to the enhancement of processes, templates, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed training in an electrotechnical field (e.g., electrician, mechatronics technician, industrial electrician).

• A Bachelor's degree is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AutoStore, CAN bus, PLC systems, and safety regulations is preferred.

• Strong communication skills coupled with a customer-focused approach.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and similar software tools.

• Substantial experience in site or project management within automation systems.

• Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time.

• Experience in construction-like project settings.

• Willingness to travel throughout the EMEA region.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in a local language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French is highly valued.

• Self-motivated, organized, and quality-driven.

• Ability to establish strong working relationships across teams.
