Senior Supplier Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Join Shield AI as a Supplier Development Engineer specializing in harness assemblies and electronic components.

• Improve supplier performance by addressing issues that impact quality, timely delivery, and scalability.

• Assist in onboarding suppliers for new designs.

• Spearhead supplier development initiatives within the aerospace supply chain management.

• Provide affordable and autonomous mass solutions at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience is required.

• Proven experience in leading new-product industrialization and managing projects across engineering teams and contract manufacturers.

• Strong understanding of wire harness and FPC/FFC assembly processes, including design principles for dependable production.

• Hands-on experience with PPAP and structured problem-solving methodologies such as RCCA, fishbone analysis, process mapping, and 5S.

• Direct experience in enhancing supplier or contract manufacturer quality, process capability, capacity, or production performance.

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% to collaborate with suppliers.
