This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop comprehensive business and account plans to implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team that includes medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams.
• Develop pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to continually enhance sales effectiveness.
• Address objections and concerns effectively to finalize sales calls, whether in-person or virtually.
• Understand and support key stakeholders’ needs, expectations, and challenges to cultivate trustworthy relationships.
• Implement call plans to meet metrics and optimize the coverage of key customers.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence to the district manager and team members to align strategies and anticipate changes in the environment.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to enhance brand performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales position within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in gynecology is preferred.
• Background in gastroenterology is considered an asset.
• Established connections with current HCP targets are advantageous.
• Experience in physician/account-based selling, CHE/OLA/training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Proven sales success and strong presentation abilities, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Familiarity with IntelAgree, DEVO, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is beneficial.
• Strong capability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adapt the selling strategy accordingly.
• Extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address changes or challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Veeva Engage/CLM.
• Valid driver's license and passport required.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends occasionally, including overnight travel.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% within the territory.
• Capacity to think strategically and formulate a high-quality territory plan.
• Sound business judgment and an executive leadership mindset.
• Ability to anticipate contingent outcomes from customer and competitive perspectives.
• Strong analytical skills.
