This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Formulate comprehensive business/account strategies to implement brand initiatives and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships while addressing stakeholder requirements.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team that includes medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Address objections and concerns with a logical and rational approach to successfully close sales calls, whether in person or virtually.
• Implement call plans to meet established metrics and maximize coverage of key customers.
• Gain insight into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise.
• Share market insights with the district manager and team members to synchronize strategy and foresee environmental shifts.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Engage with gynecologists managing endometriosis and uterine fibroids.
• Connect with gastroenterologists treating CIC, FC, and IBS-C.
• Responsible for the regions of Alberta and Manitoba.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Specialty Sales position within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in gynecology is preferred.
• Background in gastroenterology is beneficial.
• Established relationships with current HCP targets are advantageous.
• Experience in physician/account-based selling, CHE/OLA/training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Proven sales success and strong presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
• Familiarity with IntelAgree, DEVO, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is a plus.
• Strong capability to proactively assess customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adjust selling techniques.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Solid business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Ability to think strategically and critically.
• Capacity to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Innovative problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and tackle changes or challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Veeva Engage/CLM.
• Position may require occasional evening/weekend work and overnight travel.
• Expected travel within the territory is 50%.
• Valid driver's license and passport are required.
• Ability to think strategically and create a high-quality territory plan.
