This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve robust and sustainable business performance while making a significant patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate deep knowledge in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver product offerings.
• Recognize and prioritize key customers, accounts, and referral networks with high potential.
• Implement tailored account strategies that promote disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and ongoing therapy.
• Design and execute business plans for the territory that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance metrics, customer insights, market data, access trends, and competitive analysis to refine territory strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documents, and business updates.
• Develop strategic partnerships with accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks in both pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Foster trustworthy relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams.
• Analyze influence and decision-making processes within complex accounts to ensure strategic follow-up actions.
• Coordinate compliant account activities with field partners.
• Accurately and credibly convey complex scientific and clinical information.
• Implement approved promotional initiatives and engage customers in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Persuade stakeholders, manage resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Ensure that patient and caregiver needs are central to territory and account strategies.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to assist care teams in overcoming patient-journey barriers.
• Elevate recurring customer, access, and patient-support challenges to internal teams.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable insights from the field to inform strategy, messaging, training, resources, customer experience, and execution priorities.
• Participate in business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch preparations, and cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrate ownership, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and initiative within a rapidly changing environment.
• Create engagement opportunities, experiment with new methods, learn quickly, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Sustain performance under pressure and uncertainty while maintaining focus on long-term objectives.

• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving business objectives in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science market.
• Experience with rare diseases is highly preferred; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to learn, retain, and articulate complex information about disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and products.
• Experience in account-based selling within health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to employ insight-led or challenger-style selling techniques to constructively question the status quo, influence behaviors, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to interpret performance data, identify insights, formulate territory and account strategies, and translate plans into actionable field execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation skills, judgment, and a knack for building trust with a diverse range of customers.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing and performing independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical practices, compliance, and approved promotional activities.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight trips and occasional weekend obligations.
