This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive robust and sustainable business outcomes while delivering significant patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account strategies that promote disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and adherence.
• Formulate and execute territory business strategies aligned with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documents, and business updates.
• Develop relationships with health systems, centers of excellence, and referral-network accounts in both pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Foster connections with healthcare professionals and care team members.
• Map account influence and decision-making processes, set engagement objectives, and establish next steps.
• Coordinate compliant account activities in collaboration with field partners.
• Convey complex scientific and clinical information accurately and credibly.
• Implement approved promotional initiatives and customer interactions in adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Influence stakeholders, navigate resistance, and identify gaps throughout the patient journey.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to assist care teams in overcoming appropriate barriers.
• Elevate issues related to customer access and patient support to internal teams.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable insights from the field and contribute to business reviews, training, team meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrate ownership, initiative, resourcefulness, and resilience in a rapidly changing rare disease landscape.
• Embody Mirum's values and conduct that is ethical, compliant, transparent, inclusive, and respectful.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science environment.
• Experience in rare diseases is highly preferred; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the capability to learn, retain, and convey complex information about disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and products.
• Experience in account-based selling within health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to utilize insight-driven or challenger-style selling techniques to constructively challenge the status quo, influence behaviors, and advance customer decision-making.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into actionable field execution.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation abilities, judgment, and capacity to build trust with sophisticated customers.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing and performing independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional partnerships with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and approved promotional practices.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight trips and occasional weekend commitments.
