This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve robust, sustainable business performance and significant patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate in-depth clinical and account knowledge regarding rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Recognize and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks.
• Formulate and implement territory business plans and tailored account strategies.
• Utilize performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategy.
• Establish trusted relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, office personnel, and care teams.
• Map influence and decision-making processes in intricate accounts and ensure appropriate subsequent actions are taken.
• Coordinate compliant account initiatives across field partners.
• Clearly and credibly convey complex scientific and clinical information.
• Implement approved promotional programs and customer interactions in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist customers in overcoming challenges related to disease awareness, patient identification, referral processes, treatment considerations, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to guide care teams through patient-journey obstacles.
• Elevate persistent customer, access, and patient-support challenges to internal teams.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable field insights and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Operate with a sense of ownership, initiative, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning while embodying Mirum's values and ethical standards.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science market.
• Experience in rare diseases is highly preferred; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the capacity to learn, retain, and articulate complex disease-state, diagnostic, mechanism-of-action, clinical-data, and product information.
• Experience with account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to employ insight-led or challenger-style selling to constructively challenge the status quo, influence behavior, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Familiarity with access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Solid business acumen with the ability to interpret performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into field execution.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, judgment, and the ability to build trust with sophisticated customers.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• A strong commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and approved promotional practices.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight travel and occasional weekend commitments.
