This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Drive substantial and sustainable business outcomes while making a significant impact on patient care within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge regarding rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and rank high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account strategies to enhance disease awareness, facilitate patient identification, and support treatment initiation and adherence.
• Formulate and execute territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to pinpoint opportunities and refine strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Foster relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams across intricate accounts.
• Map out influence and decision-making pathways, set engagement goals, and secure actionable next steps.
• Coordinate compliant account activities in collaboration with field partners.
• Convey complex scientific and clinical information accurately and credibly.
• Implement approved promotional initiatives and customer engagements in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Influence multiple stakeholders, manage resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making processes.
• Keep patients and caregivers at the forefront of territory and account decisions.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to assist care teams in overcoming patient-journey obstacles.
• Identify and address customer, access, and patient-support challenges.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable field insights and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, meetings, launch preparedness, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Operate with a sense of ownership, initiative, creativity, resilience, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Exemplify Mirum's values and maintain ethical, compliant, transparent, inclusive, and respectful behavior.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving business results in complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science markets.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to learn, retain, and effectively communicate intricate disease-state, diagnostic, mechanism-of-action, clinical data, and product information.
• Experience in account-based selling within health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with insight-led or challenger-style selling methodologies.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to analyze performance data and develop territory and account strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, and judgment skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks while working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• A strong commitment to ethical practices, compliance, and approved promotional activities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight stays and occasional weekend commitments.
