This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Propel growth among State, Local Government, and Education clients throughout Maryland and West Virginia.
• Formulate and implement territory and account strategies aimed at creating pipelines, increasing revenue, expanding markets, and fostering long-term customer relationships.
• Discover and cultivate new sales prospects by engaging with customers and identifying their business and technology priorities.
• Develop and sustain short-, mid-, and long-term sales pipelines.
• Build and enhance relationships with customer stakeholders, influencers, and executive decision-makers.
• Convert customer objectives and technology strategies into relevant IT opportunities.
• Position HPE products, solutions, and services to meet customer needs and deliver business value.
• Guide intricate sales opportunities from initial engagement through to closure.
• Coordinate HPE specialists, presales resources, business units, channel partners, and internal teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Create business value propositions that align HPE solutions with customer priorities and outcomes.
• Develop and execute account plans for designated accounts.
• Cultivate and leverage the partner ecosystem to enhance market coverage and generate opportunities.
• Stay informed on IT industry advancements, emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and public-sector trends.
• Provide accurate pipeline, forecast, opportunity, and account data.
• Act as a customer advocate within HPE and coordinate internal organizations to ensure satisfaction and eliminate obstacles.
• University or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Over 6 years of sales or account management experience.
• Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targets and developing new business.
• Experience in enterprise technology sales is preferred.
• Familiarity with SLED or public-sector sales is preferred.
• Proven experience managing complex sales cycles and executive-level customer relationships.
• Experience collaborating with channel partners and cross-functional sales teams is preferred.
• Must reside in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, or West Virginia.
• Willingness to travel regularly for customer, partner, and business engagements.
• Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify, develop, and convert new opportunities.
• Proven capability to build pipelines and grow business within an assigned territory.
• Exceptional consultative selling, relationship-building, communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams and engage specialists, presales resources, business units, and partners.
• Working knowledge of enterprise technology and current IT trends.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Excellent account and territory planning skills with disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
• Capacity to operate independently in a remote, field-based environment while collaborating across a matrixed organization.
