Test Engineer III / Quality Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the hands-on Quality Lead for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) program at PhoenixTeam.

• Responsible for the overall quality of code and releases across two development teams.

• Oversee release-cycle testing and provide guidance and oversight to two testers.

• Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for APIs and user interfaces.

• Conduct hands-on testing to investigate issues and validate changes.

• Own the documentation related to release test plans and test results.

• Generate test data and resolve issues during integration testing (INT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Evaluate test results and communicate any code-quality risks.

• Collaborate with developers and testers to address issues related to release quality.

• Mentor and coach testers, enhance testing processes, and increase test automation coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; a master's degree with 5+ years; or an associate degree with 9+ years.

• Hands-on experience with automated API and UI testing using Gherkin/Cucumber or similar automation methods.

• Familiarity with Salesforce configuration and development, AWS environments, Java, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Proven experience in leading testing efforts, managing test plans and results, and coaching other testers while remaining actively involved.

• Must be eligible to successfully complete the background investigation necessary for a Public Trust position and obtain a favorable suitability determination.

• Experience with Jira dashboards for quality reporting or release documentation is preferred.

• Preferable experience with Postman or other API testing tools.

• Preferred experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline.

• Experience in supporting federal programs or working within mortgage or related sectors is preferred.

• Prior experience in completing a federal background investigation or clearance process is preferred.
