This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist an Agile team in creating, maintaining, and enhancing applications for a federal government client.
• Design, develop, execute, and uphold both manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Create and maintain test strategies, test plans, and testing methodologies.
• Provide feedback on testing, establish acceptance criteria, identify problems, and document tickets.
• Develop and sustain reusable automated test scripts, utilities, and testing components.
• Design, implement, and support scalable test automation frameworks.
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, and user story validation testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers during backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions.
• Contribute to the Definition of Done through comprehensive test coverage, execution, and quality validation efforts.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and perform load, performance, and scalability testing.
• Analyze test outcomes, identify defects and risks, assess test coverage, and propose enhancements to software quality and release readiness.
• Manage Controlled Unclassified Information while adhering to relevant safeguarding and compliance standards.
• Public Trust Eligibility is required.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to secure and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree, or 4 additional years of pertinent experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience utilizing automation tools for testing systems and applications, along with writing and executing test scripts.
• 3+ years of experience with automation testing tools, preferably Playwright.
• Proven experience in developing automation testing strategies and frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience in conducting functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong hands-on testing experience with databases and APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker containers and testing applications within containers.
• Experience in creating reusable test automation solutions and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively across functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with GraphQL testing/frameworks is preferred.
• Previous federal government experience as a contractor is preferred.
• Experience testing .NET applications and systems hosted in Azure Cloud is preferred.
• Performance testing experience is preferred.
• Experience conducting manual accessibility testing using screen readers and other accessibility tools is preferred.
• DHS Trusted Tester Certification is preferred.
