Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and uphold thorough testing plans for applications and services that rely on databases.

• Conduct feature testing alongside automated regression testing.

• Ensure the accuracy of data, integrity of schemas, and performance of queries across various environments.

• Create, execute, and sustain automated test scripts.

• Carry out load, stress, and performance testing to assess scalability.

• Collaborate with developers to replicate, diagnose, and resolve issues.

• Record test outcomes and compile comprehensive defect reports.

• Monitor issues until they are fully resolved.

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop end-to-end testing strategies.

• Analyze requirements and assist in the design, development, and upkeep of both manual and automated testing suites.

• Execute functional, application, regression, integration, both automated and manual testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, ideally with database products or data-centric applications.

• Proficient in SQL, including advanced queries, joins, and stored procedures.

• Strong background in relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Experience with ETL/ELT is advantageous.

• Practical experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools.

• Prior experience with BDD frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for test automation is a plus.

• Capable of integrating AI-assisted tools into everyday testing processes.
