Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program

• Assist in modernizing legacy tax processing systems at the IRS

• Enhance quality and efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle

• Create, develop, and take ownership of a comprehensive test automation strategy

• Design, implement, and sustain automation frameworks utilizing Playwright

• Run automated test suites

• Conduct both manual and automated testing

• Utilize functional testing to ensure complete test coverage

• Plan and implement automation scripts for ongoing regression testing

• Guide junior team members

• Engage in code reviews

• Track, report, and analyze defects

• Foster continuous improvement in the end-to-end testing process

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in progress along with 2+ years of overall experience

• US Citizenship is mandatory

• Must hold an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE

• Proven experience in test management, as well as quality engineering strategy, planning, and test execution

• Familiarity with Functional, Manual, Regression, Automation, 508, and API testing

• Proficient in JIRA/Confluence, SQL, and Git

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills for interaction with client stakeholders across all organizational and technical levels

• Previous experience on Agile teams
