Principal Software Development Engineer in Test – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineering teams to determine testing strategies for proposed modifications

• Design and sustain automated testing frameworks and pipelines, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

• Develop and manage test plans and cases for compute services, addressing relevant scenarios and edge cases

• Create and uphold scripts to automate deployments, migrations, and rollbacks

• Analyze and resolve intricate issues, pinpoint root causes, and offer solution suggestions

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior personnel, advocate best practices, and uphold quality standards

• Create automation processes for testing cloud microservices

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of pertinent experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Familiarity with contemporary testing methodologies

• Extensive knowledge of Python, Pytest, and best practices for testing microservices

• Proficient in automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack

• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, particularly in performance tuning

• Knowledge of Bash and scripting essentials

• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker

• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
