Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and troubleshoot issues related to deployments, identifying root causes and proposing solutions across various environments.

• Design and sustain automated testing frameworks, encompassing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Develop and uphold test plans and test cases for microservices, addressing relevant scenarios and edge cases.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams on integration testing and recommend enhancements for testing environments.

• Assess requirements for secure deployment and rollback strategies, verifying these requirements during the deployment process.

• Craft and maintain scripts to automate the deployments of platform services.

• Streamline the SDLC pipeline from testing to deployment and validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.

• Proficiency in Python and Pytest.

• Strong understanding of contemporary testing methodologies.

• Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure.

• Insight into system internals and performance metrics.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, Github Actions, and SaltStack.

• Solid foundations in Linux, particularly in performance tuning.

• Basic knowledge of Bash and scripting.

• Comprehension of modern software development lifecycle processes.

• Knowledge of service level objective monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
