Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing for DT applications and services.

• Transform existing test cases and regression scenarios into repeatable automated tests.

• Create automated tests to fill functional, integration, and regression coverage gaps.

• Develop reusable automated test components and scripts.

• Execute automated tests and analyze the results.

• Investigate failures in automated tests and resolve issues or escalate defects as necessary.

• Maintain and update automated tests as applications, requirements, and business processes evolve.

• Assess test coverage and identify opportunities for further automation.

• Support quality reporting and test automation coverage.

• Contribute to quality reviews, test readiness assessments, and retrospectives.

• Develop automated tests across user interface, API, and database layers.

• Utilize SQL and database queries for preparing test data, validating data, and investigating results.

• Validate data integrity, transaction processing, and system behavior.

• Identify, log, investigate, and retest defects.

• Collaborate with developers and technical teams to resolve defects.

• Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies and participate in sprint planning, refinement, and delivery activities.

• Communicate test progress, coverage, failures, issues, and risks to the Test Lead, Senior Tester, or Test Manager.

• Share automation techniques and best practices within the Test team.

• Utilize approved tools for test automation, test management, defect tracking, and documentation.

• Contribute to the upkeep of test environments and test data sets.

• Apply automation design techniques to enhance reliability, maintainability, and reusability.

• Adhere to software development, testing, and Application Lifecycle Management processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with the Ranorex automation tool.

• Familiarity with test management and delivery tools such as DevOps and Jira.

• Proficient in SQL and database querying for test data preparation, validation, and investigation.

• Coding or scripting skills as needed.

• Understanding of automated testing across user interface, API, and database layers.

• Knowledge of software development, testing, and Application Lifecycle Management processes.

• Strong ability to methodically investigate automated test failures.

• Capability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Willingness to participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies.

• Responsible handling of sensitive financial and customer data in line with regulatory standards.

• Ability to work independently, manage, and prioritize workload.
