Test Automation Analyst, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate functional and technical requirements documentation to identify quality needs and criteria.

• Collect, analyze, and model test scenarios and test cases.

• Develop and document test cases using Gherkin, BDD, and acceptance criteria.

• Request, prepare, and verify the test data necessary for test execution.

• Create, maintain, and enhance test automation scripts.

• Implement and run automated tests with Appium and Selenium WebDriver.

• Conduct functional and automated validation, spotting inconsistencies and areas for enhancement.

• Identify, log, track, and retest defects.

• Extract, analyze, and document evidence and reports from test execution.

• Maintain and optimize automated scripts to boost efficiency and reliability.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, contributing to technical alignment and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with development, business, and quality teams to ensure secure, high-quality, and efficient solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience with software testing processes and life cycles, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.

• Proficiency in analyzing requirements, identifying scenarios, and crafting test cases.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software quality practices.

• Familiarity with test and defect management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, and Octane.

• Practical experience automating tests using Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Gherkin, BDD, Java, and Visual Basic.

• Experience in projects and systems within the banking sector.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, failure investigation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with large-scale projects in the financial or banking industries.

• Knowledge of best practices for developing and sustaining test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.

• Understanding of automation strategies for functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Analytical, organized, collaborative, and a strong communicator.
