Senior DevOps Automation Engineer – CI/CD Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Ensure that the design of the CI/CD platform adheres to industry best practices regarding scalability, security, and performance.

• Revise and enhance the current application and infrastructure designs for the CI/CD platform.

• Design, maintain, and optimize the container platform both in the cloud and on-premises.

• Develop reusable pipelines, pipeline templates, and robust automation scripts for building, releasing, and updating applications and infrastructure components.

• Guarantee repeatability and simplify management for future deployments.

• Package applications utilizing Helm charts.

• Perform upgrades on application servers and agents at least biannually.

• Provide support to development teams on CI/CD tasks, along with platform training and knowledge transfer.

• Measure and report on metrics such as cycle time, time to value, uptime, error rate, team retention rate, and CI/CD usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working with CI/CD platforms.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience administering Azure DevOps Server.

• At least 2 years of experience in application deployments on Kubernetes.

• Proficient in the administration of Azure DevOps Server and Services.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline creation and configuration, as well as DevOps principles and best practices (automation, feedback loops, fail fast, efficiency).

• Solid knowledge of application containerization, packaging, and deployment on Kubernetes clusters (Helm charts, operators, pipelines).

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies, such as Terraform or Puppet.

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).

• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher).

• Capable of supporting development teams and sharing knowledge through training sessions.

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) — preferred.

• Experience with Rancher / RKE2 in on-premises Kubernetes environments — preferred.

• Familiarity with metrics and reporting on delivery performance (e.g., cycle time, deployment frequency) — preferred.
