Test Analyst – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Participate in the refinement phase by evaluating business rules, recommending enhancements, and assessing testability.

• Develop test scenarios and cases based on functional and technical specifications, addressing successful, alternative, and disallowed flows, backed by structured evidence.

• Plan and implement projects, ensuring the development and administration of test plans and regression tests while adhering to deadlines and acceptance criteria.

• Suggest and deploy distributed automated test coverage based on the test pyramid model, emphasizing API and integration tests over end-to-end (E2E) UI tests.

• Oversee test data management, including creation via APIs or scripts, ensuring data is versioned, masked, and reproducible.

• Utilize generative AI for scenario development, script refactoring, test data generation, and minimizing repetitive tasks, with human oversight.

• Conduct root-cause analysis of escaped defects and recommend preventive measures related to processes, testing, or architecture.

• Review automation pull requests and offer technical guidance to Junior Test Analysts.

• Maintain test and defect management tools, ensuring the accuracy of metrics data.

• Occasionally create solution packages and forward them to clients, assist in client configuration, and provide training on the developed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in various testing methodologies and techniques.

• Practical experience with at least one programming language (C# or Python) and sound coding practices.

• Practical experience with Playwright and API automation (REST Assured, Playwright API, or Postman).

• Familiarity with code versioning workflows (GitFlow).

• Knowledge of creating and maintaining automated pipeline executions (Azure DevOps).

• Understanding of design patterns relevant to automation (Page Object, SOLID), component reuse, and test repository organization.

• Capability to write intermediate-level SQL queries for data validation, defect investigation, and test data preparation.

• Active and structured use of AI assistants in daily automation and test planning/execution workflows.

• Preferred: experience in environments utilizing agile frameworks.

• Preferred: certification in software testing, CTFL or higher.

• Preferred: experience in regulated environments and systems within the insurance industry.

• Preferred: basic English proficiency for reading and completing training.
