Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Become a part of a long-term client based in the US specializing in the Real Estate and Marketing sector.

• Assist in the development of a technology platform that streamlines rental advertisement placement and management, lead generation, and aspects of potential customer engagement.

• Take ownership of and drive the QA approach and quality practices throughout the project.

• Evaluate product quality, current QA processes, test coverage, risks, and deficiencies.

• Outline and continuously enhance the QA strategy, testing priorities, coverage, and quality gates.

• Establish scalable and sustainable QA processes.

• Conduct hands-on manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Determine the depth and coverage of testing based on product risks, business impact, technical complexity, and delivery priorities.

• Collaborate with software engineers, the Project Manager, and the client during the development lifecycle.

• Communicate directly with the US-based client regarding product quality, risks, priorities, and QA decisions.

• Clearly express quality risks and offer recommendations for product and delivery strategies.

• Identify repetitive QA tasks for optimization or automation.

• Experiment with AI tools and AI-assisted workflows for requirements analysis, test case creation, regression preparation, test data generation, documentation, bug analysis, reporting, and exploratory testing.

• Contribute to a progressively automated and AI-enhanced QA methodology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in Quality Assurance at a Senior level.

• Demonstrated experience in building, establishing, or significantly enhancing QA processes within a software development project.

• In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, testing strategies, risk-based testing, and QA best practices.

• Proven ability to independently define QA priorities, testing scope, coverage, and quality gates.

• Capability to evaluate an existing QA environment, identify quality deficiencies and risks, and translate them into a practical improvement plan.

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to operate effectively without detailed instructions or predefined processes.

• Experience in environments where QA processes required creation, structuring, or substantial maturation.

• Ability to balance hands-on testing with strategic QA responsibilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience collaborating directly with clients or external stakeholders.

• Ability to clearly articulate and justify QA decisions, product risks, and priorities.

• Proficient English communication skills and confidence in engaging directly with a US-based client.

• Genuine enthusiasm for utilizing AI and automation to enhance QA workflows and personal productivity.

• Curiosity-driven and experimentation-oriented mindset, with a willingness to explore new AI tools and methodologies.

• Bonus: hands-on experience utilizing AI tools in daily QA tasks.

• Bonus: experience in creating AI-assisted workflows for test design, requirements analysis, regression preparation, documentation, reporting, bug analysis, or test data generation.
