Test Analyst – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage from the refinement phase onward, evaluating business rules, suggesting enhancements, and determining testability.

• Extract test scenarios and cases from functional and technical specifications, encompassing happy paths, alternative paths, and invalid flows, supported by organized evidence.

• Organize and execute projects by developing and implementing test scripts and conducting regression testing within the established deadlines and acceptance criteria.

• Recommend and establish distributed automated test coverage following the test pyramid principle, giving priority to API and integration tests over UI end-to-end tests.

• Manage test data sets, including creation through APIs or scripts, version control, masking, and ensuring reproducibility.

• Utilize generative AI for deriving scenarios, refactoring scripts, generating test data, and minimizing repetitive tasks, with human oversight.

• Investigate the root causes of escaped defects and recommend preventive measures concerning processes, testing, or architecture.

• Review automation pull requests and offer technical guidance to Junior Analysts.

• Maintain the test and defect management tools, ensuring the accuracy of the metrics data for the area.

• Occasionally prepare solution packages and distribute them to clients, assist with configuration, and provide training on the developed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with various testing methodologies and techniques.

• Practical experience with at least one programming language (C# or Python) and adherence to good coding practices.

• Direct experience with Playwright and API automation (REST Assured, Playwright API, or Postman).

• Proficiency in code versioning practices (GitFlow).

• Understanding of how to create and maintain automated pipeline executions (Azure DevOps).

• Knowledge of design patterns used in automation (Page Object, SOLID), component reuse, and organization of test repositories.

• Capability to execute intermediate SQL queries for data validation, defect investigation, and test data preparation.

• Active and systematic utilization of AI assistants in the daily automation and test planning/execution processes.

• Experience in environments that implement agile frameworks (preferred).

• Software testing certification: CTFL or higher (preferred).

• Experience in regulated environments and systems within the insurance industry (preferred).

• Basic English proficiency for reading and understanding training materials (preferred).
