Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Strategically engage throughout the software development lifecycle by utilizing the Shift-Left Testing methodology, actively participating in requirements refinement and solution design.

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test architectures that encompass functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

• Design and implement automated tests using tools such as Rest Assured, Cucumber, and other relevant technologies.

• Validate REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, development best practices, and security protocols.

• Conduct intricate backend validations, which include SQL queries, data verification, and testing of messaging and event-processing systems.

• Integrate and uphold automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of software delivery processes.

• Act as a technical resource for software quality by sharing expertise and fostering the technical development of the team.

• Examine quality metrics and indicators, identify bottlenecks, and suggest ongoing improvements to the squad's development and testing methodologies.

• Collaborate effectively with development and product teams to aid in defect prevention and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in backend and API test automation.

• Proficient in at least one programming language applicable for test automation, such as Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs.

• Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks like Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar technologies.

• Experience with continuous integration and CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases for querying, validation, and maintaining data consistency.

• Capable of analyzing complex scenarios, pinpointing root causes of failures, and proposing technical solutions.

• Experience with software quality best practices and defect prevention techniques throughout the development lifecycle.
