Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Define testing requirements and assist member banks, acquirers, and PSPs throughout the complete certification process.

• Assess and confirm member test results against EPI specifications, scheme standards, and compliance regulations.

• Analyze technical challenges during testing by examining distributed system logs and reviewing API payloads.

• Conduct internal tests to discover edge cases, inconsistencies, and system deficiencies prior to member releases.

• Transform manual test scenarios into automated test cases.

• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of testing frameworks and tools.

• Keep detailed records of test outcomes, defects, decisions, and resolutions in Jira and Confluence.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders from Product, Payment Experience, Infrastructure, and Operations.

• Interpret testing feedback to inform product and process enhancements.

• Partner with external member banks, acquirers, PSPs, and testing tool partners to facilitate Wero integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in QA, testing, technical operations, or a related field, preferably within payments, banking, or fintech.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Proficient in English (CEFR C1 or C2); knowledge of French, German, Dutch, or other European languages is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in end-to-end and integration testing within multi-tier or distributed architectures.

• Practical expertise with REST APIs, JSON data contracts, and API testing or scripting tools such as Postman or Bruno.

• Strong experience in analyzing system logs, debugging integration issues, and troubleshooting across distributed services.

• Experience engaging directly with external partners, member institutions, clients, or technical stakeholders like Project Leads and Test Managers.

• Proficient in test management workflows, issue tracking, and documentation using Jira and Confluence.

• Ability to convey complex technical findings into understandable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with European payment schemes and rails, such as SEPA, Instant Payments, SWIFT, or card schemes is a plus.

• Experience with payment gateways, processors, core banking systems, or mobile banking integrations is a plus.

• Understanding of regulatory and scheme certification standards like PSD2 or scheme compliance is a plus.

• Knowledge of reconciliation, clearing, and settlement processes is a plus.
