This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement territory strategies that align with regional sales goals.
• Enhance sales and distribution within current retail accounts.
• Discover and pursue opportunities for new accounts.
• Ensure consistent account engagement based on territory priorities.
• Keep track of competitor actions, pricing, and market dynamics.
• Foster relationships with retailer and distributor partners, as well as CPF Distributor managers.
• Participate in joint sales calls and ride-alongs with distributor representatives.
• Assist distributor sales initiatives through product training and field collaboration.
• Provide business-enhancing recommendations to retail partners.
• Uphold Champion merchandising standards in key accounts.
• Boost brand visibility through displays, secondary placements, signage, and promotional activities.
• Supervise assortment, shelf placement, and pricing compliance.
• Address execution discrepancies and follow up with corrective measures.
• Conduct product training and educational sessions.
• Represent Champion Petfoods at industry, retailer, and consumer events.
• Act as an ambassador for the ORIJEN® and ACANA® brands.
• Maintain precise CRM records and sales activity documentation.
• Complete expense reports and administrative tasks within set deadlines.
• Share territory updates, opportunities, and market insights with the Regional Sales Manager.
• Meet KPIs related to sales, distribution, retail execution, customer development, and operational excellence.
• Experience in outside sales, preferably in the pet specialty sector.
• Background in consumer packaged goods or retail is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain relationships.
• Capacity to manage and overcome objections encountered during the sales process.
• Experience in remote team collaboration with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a CRM system.
• Experience in presenting to both large and small audiences.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the territory, including overnight stays as required.
• Availability for work-related events during evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Strong skills in building relationships and effective communication.
• Results-driven with a proactive attitude.
• Organized and capable of effectively managing territory priorities.
• Comfortable with presenting and training individuals or groups.
• A passion for customer service, sales execution, and ongoing learning.
