
Territory Sales Manager – Iowa/Western Cornbelt

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Formulate and implement an annual business strategy for the territory, concentrating on essential markets, clients, and growth prospects.
• Cultivate and sustain enduring relationships with retail and distribution partners.
• Foster and maintain long-term partnerships with key growers to stimulate demand and enhance market share.
• Oversee the sales process utilizing the CRM system.
• Set product-specific objectives with designated growers and track their progress.
• Create and execute grower demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Regional Account Managers to deliver service and support to grower customers through the distribution network.
• Achieve or surpass established sales targets and contribute to overarching commercial goals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Field Development, R&D, and administrative teams.
• Engage in and represent ProFarm at agricultural meetings, conferences, field days, and other events.
• Lead the response to inquiries regarding product performance and customer questions within the territory.
• Identify market opportunities and provide insights into grower needs, competitive activities, market conditions, and product performance.
• Travel around 60–70% domestically by car and air throughout Iowa and the Western Corn Belt.
• Conduct regular field visits and participate in customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and other commercial activities.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in selling crop protection products or other pertinent agricultural products or services.
• Proven experience working directly with growers, retailers, distributors, PCAs, CCAs, and other influencers in the agricultural market.
• Understanding of row-crop agriculture and the agricultural landscape in Iowa and/or the Western Corn Belt.
• Familiarity with biological products and biopesticides; direct experience with biopesticides is preferred but not mandatory.
• PCA or CCA certification, or the willingness and capability to obtain the relevant credential within one year of joining ProFarm.
• Proficient in communicating, advising, negotiating, and influencing a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
• Competent in managing multiple accounts, projects, priorities, and travel obligations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable working in agricultural production settings, including walking fields, assessing crop conditions, and observing product performance in diverse weather conditions.
• Capability to drive for extended durations and travel routinely across the territory by car and air.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds.
• Capacity to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods when necessary.
