This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Manage a designated sales territory in New York.
• Enhance sales and broaden the reach of the Wonderful Wines portfolio within independent wine and specialty retail accounts.
• Collaborate closely with distributor partners.
• Build relationships with independent wine merchants, influential retail decision-makers, and industry leaders.
• Acquire new placements and improve distribution.
• Boost sales velocity and meet volume targets.
• Elevate brand visibility.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with wine specialty retailers, independent wine shops, key account decision makers, and distributor sales representatives.
• Follow a Tuesday to Saturday field schedule with regular in-market sales visits.
• Identify opportunities to enhance shelf space, floor displays, and promotional features.
• Collaborate with distributor sales teams to formulate account strategies.
• Educate retail staff and consumers about the Wonderful Wines portfolio, winery heritage, winemaking philosophy, and brand positioning.
• Conduct in-store wine sampling events lasting three hours twice weekly on Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday.
• Relay information to sales leadership regarding opportunities, challenges, market conditions, and distributor performance.
• Organize sampling events and support distributor execution to meet sales and volume goals.
• 2–4 years of pertinent retail sales experience in the wine or beverage alcohol sector.
• Experience engaging with wine specialty retailers, independent wine merchants, and distributor partner Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.
• Demonstrated success in increasing sales, distribution, and brand presence in the beverage alcohol or fine wine market.
• Proficient in selling premium and luxury wine brands through a consultative selling approach.
• Strong organizational skills and territory management abilities.
• Capacity to work independently.
• Experience conducting retailer in-store wine tastings and consumer sampling events.
• Clean driving record; a background check will be performed.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that adapts to business needs.
• Reside within the established territory boundaries.
• May require minimal overnight travel based on territory needs.
• Capability to store and transport necessary Point of Sale (POS) materials for store visits.
• Required travel to Los Angeles, CA 3-4 times annually.
